Hello everyone, Richard here.
I love using our high quality products in different ways. Today, I’ll show you how to create a background using a stencil as an Embossing Folder. This will open up your possibilities as you figure out the type of backgrounds you want for your projects. Then we’ll add a highlight to pop out the embossed texture.
You’ll need the following supplies: Find Joy Stamp Set SS-0294| Pocket Cuts Die Set DI-0219| Journey Rectangles Die Set DI-0041| Summer Branch DI-0162| Hazelnut Blend Color Fusion Ink IP-0012| Sweet Berry True Color Fusion ink IP-0029| Bloom Wall Stencil JM-0003| Summer Pretties TO-0007| Pearls AC-0024| Green Olive Cardstock CS-0113| Hazelnut Blend Cardstock CS-0013| Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock CS-0023| Whip Cream Cardstock CS-0040| Sweet Berry Cardstock CS-0034| Bubble Gum Cardstock CS-0099| Journey Glaze 4oz AD-0002
Step 1: Grab the Bloom Wall Stencil and place it in your die cutting machine in an embossing sandwich – magnetic place, then your stencil, your Sweet Berry Cardstock panel, embossing mat, and finally the embossing plate. Roll this through your machine to give your cardstock panel that textured look.
Step 2: Grab a Fusion Sponge and Hazelnut Ink. Place your stencil over your embossed cardstock and use your stencil like a mask. Lightly brush your sponge over your embossed panel. This will allow you to transfer the ink color to the blooms only versus the entire background – highlighting the bloom patterns.
Step 3: Die cut a pierced Journey Rectangle and adhere it to your background. Add your favorite stamped sentiment.
Step 4: Assemble the rest of your project.
