It’s the last Friday of the month, so today we are taking a flash forward to take a look at a few things that will be available in the New Year.
First off, our Journey Holidays Trends Mini Catalog closes December 31st. However, a few items in the catalog will continue throughout the rest of the catalog year (until June 30, 2018). See the list of continuing items here.
This awesome list of goodies includes the Through the Year Prints!! Let’s create with it as we plan ahead for Valentine’s Day. (Don’t worry we’ll get to the Bloom This Way Trends Mini catalog too!)
Our Design Concept Manager, Shannon Smith, quickly showed this project on a live Facebook video for Try Day Friday. It’s another great way to use our Journey Modeling Paste. If you missed the live video, click here to watch.
Let’s create this beautiful project! First, grab a Treat Box. These are pre-cut stationary items that are great to present small treats.
Start with a fun pattern from the Through the Year Prints. This pack has patterns from all occasions included the featured colorful dots that’s perfect for any Spring event.
This Valentine’s box requires hearts! Die cut two Heart-felt shapes from Butter Cream Cardstock. We want them to look like heart shaped sugar cookies. Grab a Dauber Dowel and brush Banana Cream Ink around the edges of the hearts to bronzed edges of the cookie.
Add the sweet frosting! Mix Journey Modeling Paste with Watermelon Fusion Re-inker to get that sweet pink. Place a smaller Heart-felt Die over the die cuts as a guide and add the paste in the middle. Make them sparkle with Journey Sparkle Cuts.
Finally, take a bite of your cookie. Not literally please! Use the Scalloped Circle Punch to punch off the edge of one heart to give it that teeth mark look.

In addition to continuing items from Journey Holidays Trends Mini, we will also have a brand new Bloom This Way Trends Mini starting January 1!
This new catalog is filled with spring inspiration. Find blooms and Easter images (religious and fun.) One of our favorites is the Easter Blessings Stamp & Die Set.
How gorgeous! We created this project during the FSJ Presents: Bloom This Way live event.
This Easter Blessings Stamp Set is so elegant. This stamp set includes the traditional cross, along with blooms and greenery for surrounding imagery. It also includes the featured banner as the perfect place for your Easter sentiment.
Make your cross with different shades of the same color giving it that window reflection – one side shining brighter than the other. Surround it with a few leaves. Your cross will be beautiful on its own. Or you can grab the new Fresh Cuts (in the new catalog) for a bright center.
Complete your card with the perfect sentiment from the new Hope Anchors Stamp & Die Set.
