Hi everyone, Richard here.
Yes, it’s still summer. However, as Gabby and I are planning our crafting ahead as I encourage you to do. Yesterday, Gabby shared super cute Halloween lockets perfect for any costume. As I begin to share more projects from the Journey Holidays Trends Mini Catalog, I wanted to first prepare for the colder weather with S’mores.
We’ll use our True Color Fusion Ink Pads to create a colorful striped background for our project while using a unique masking technique. Don’t forget, to collect your favorites. Our Fusion Vibes promotion, 20% off ink pads, ends August 31st.
You’ll need the following supplies: Always S’more Stamp Set SS-0311| Journey Circles Die DI-0039| Pool Play True Color Fusion Ink Pad IP-0051| Sweet Pear True Color Fusion Ink Pad IP-0054| Orange Creamsicle Ink Pad IP-0015| Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink Pad IP-0041| Dark Roast Silk IP-0095| Journey Color Burst pencils JM-0077| Whip Cream Cardstock CS-0040| Pool Play Cardstock| Dark Roast Cardstock| Orange Creamsicle Cardstock| Mini Wooden Clothespins AC-0029| Natural Journey Twine AC-0005| Be Cool Journey Tape AC-0165 (or your Journey Tape of choice)

Step 1: You’ve seen us mask stamps with sticky notes. Now create masks for your ink with strips of your favorite Journey Tape placed horizontally across your cardstock! Select one of your favorite True Color Fusion Ink Pads and transfer the color directly to your cardstock, easily skipping sections covered by your Journey Tape.
Step 2: Grab a 2nd ink pad color. No, you are not having blurry vision. In the image below, you’ll see I added a 2nd strip Journey Tape over the original layer, but a bit off center. This essentially cuts my leftover white space in half. I don’t want to completely cover my cardstock with ink. Instead, I want to keep white space in between my ink lines.
Step 3: Remove both strips of Journey Tape. Flip your cardstock and place new strips vertically across the panel. Use your 3rd ink pad color to complete the design.
Step 4: Remove your Journey Tape and finish assembling your project.
Enjoy the Journey,
