Yesterday we created a background design with Liquid Color. Today we’ll create another using a favorite animal from the 2017-2018 Inspiration Book & Catalog – the Llama.
Check out that fun colorful background. The waves from the Fringe Wall background stamp give the illusion of movement already.
Heighten the illusion using our dye-based Liquid Colors. When you stamp with these liquids you’ll create a fluid motion for your image. Grab two of your favorite Liquid Colors to stamp the Fringe Wall – we used Lovely Blue and Limeade Splash. Then select two more as accents. Give your background a splash of Candy Apple and Lemon Drop Liquid Colors.
Die cut the Fringe Wall background with the Hexagon Die Set. We trimmed the sides and placed this at an angle again to continue to illusion of movement.
Pop the No Prob-Llama at an angle as well. Bring your llama to life with a bit of coloring using any coloring tool of your choice, we used the Journey Color Splash pencils to shade in his fur a bit and add color to his scarf.
Decorate with your favorite accents. Play and make it fun, like giving your llama glasses with the Cool Tune Elements.

Keep that llama out! He’s so much fun to craft with we are going to create another project.
We recently shared this one on our FSJ Facebook page to celebrate the Journey Crew’s trip to Texas this week as we host our Leadership Conference. A dozen Crew members are having a blast crafting with our Journey Coaches and learning new business skills.
For this project, we did create movement but in more of the traditional sense. This card actually moves, it’s not an illusion. How? Well let’s walk through it.
Trim two pieces of River Stone Cardstock to rectangles. You can die cut them if you wish. On one of the pieces, cut out a very thin rectangle near the top. Place these pieces of cardstock to the side for a moment.
Let’s stamp and die cut the No Prob-Llama. Have fun and get him ready for his trip. Give him the typical tourist hat and camera. The stamp set has a stamp for the camera attached to a rope, but we wanted to bring ours to life a bit more so we used Journey Thread to really hang it on. With the llama ready to go, prepare your sentiments.
Stamp and emboss the ‘Let’s Go Away’ on a piece of Black Licorice Cardstock and adhere it to the back of your llama with a small Journey Foam Square.
Now, flip your llama upside down and place two small Journey Foam Squares on its back. Grab two coins of your choice (we used pennies) and stick them on the other side of the Foam Square. Remember that piece of River Stone Cardstock with a hole in it, grab it now and tuck the coins into the opening. Grab the other piece of River Stone Cardstock and adhere it to the first with Journey Foam Squares to stick them together while keeping a bit of breathing space in between.
Check it out! Now you can slide your llama around. It’s truly moving!
